VDC Display Systems was formed in February, 2000 following the acquisition of AmPro Corporation, a projection systems development firm.

Service, support and manufacturing operations commenced in April 2000 with the support of major, multi-year industrial and government programs, including the Navy’s PT563/UQY program. In this program, VDC DS met “Code Red” requirements for Navy ship operations.

In November of 2001, Display Systems acquired the Marquee product line from Christie Digital, (formerly Electrohome) and continued the manufacturing and development of a wide range of new simulation specific products in support of customer requirements.

In October of 2004, Display Systems acquired the ESCP Calligraphic product line from former Evans & Sutherland and continues the manufacturing and technical support of these products, which are used for the training of major commercial airline pilots throughout the world.

In January 2006, Display Systems provided information on their COTS product line with Sony Corporation, in order to upgrade Sony’s simulation and training systems.
